When I set out to design a unique aluminium case for my vintage Pioneer SA-9500 II amplifier, I knew that precision and quality were non-negotiable. The Vision: A Custom Aluminium Cover
The Pioneer SA-9500 II is already a stunning amplifier, but I wanted to push its aesthetics even further. My goal was to create a 5mm thick aluminium cover that not only protected the unit but also enhanced its design. Inspired by the clean lines and precision engineering of high-end hi-fi equipment, with the help of Schaeffer AG Front Panel Designer I incorporated beveled grooves into the design, adding a refined, modern touch to the amplifier’s timeless look.
